UNC Has Shot At Historic Season In 2023
It’s been eight years since the Tar Heels’ last double-digit win campaign, when UNC went 11-3 under then-head coach Larry Fedora in 2015.
In the interim, UNC has posted two eight-win seasons (in 2016 and 2020), in addition to last year’s nine-win campaign.
This fall, the Tar Heels are listed in a tie with Louisville as the No. 3 option among ACC favorites on operators like BetMGM Sportsbook and Caesars Sportsbook, with conference title odds of +300 on the former and +1200 on the latter. Look for a BetMGM North Carolina bonus code when apps launch early next year.
That’s why we list an eight-or-nine win campaign being the most likely for UNC in 2023, with hypothetical odds of +250 and +320 for either scenario, while a 10-2 (+450), 7-5 (+550) or 11-1 (+750) campaign features much longer odds this fall.
For Brown and company, the road to the 2023 ACC championship game begins in early September in Charlotte, with the possibility of building a historic campaign in the weeks thereafter.
